No Ordinary Family – Season 1 Episode 2 "NO ORDINARY MIRRAGE". The Powells are about to go from ordinary to extraordinary. After 16 years of marriage, Jim (Michael Chiklis, The Shield Fantastic Four) feels distant from his workaholic wife, Stephanie (Julie Benz, Dexter), and two teenage children, Daphne (Kay Panabaker, Summerland) and JJ (Jimmy Bennett, Star Trek). Jim decides the family will join Stephanie on her business trip to South America to encourage family bonding. Their plane crashes into the Amazon River, and barely enjoy a moment to celebrate their survival before returning to the everyday life. But they will soon discover that their lives have been forever changed. Each member of the family starts to show signs of new, unique and distinct super powers. Will their newfound abilities finally bring them together or push them further apart?
No Ordinary Family – Season 1 Episode 3 "NO ORDINARY RING".Opens with Jim hitting baseballs into the ocean. He's stressing about protecting his friends and family (he's apparently just heard that Detective Cho was killed.) George calms him down and reminds him that he is supposed to be picking up his tuxedo for a wedding, and Stephanie has threatened violence if he is late. Jim leaps off to town.
No Ordinary Family – Season 1 Episode 4 "NO ORDINARY VIGILANTE".Jim is mistaken for a murderous vigilante who has begun targeting the robbers; Stephanie makes a discovery that could explain how she and her family got their powers; Daphne uses her telepathic abilities to get into an exclusive party reserved for only the cool high school kids; and JJ tries out for the football team – with a lot of help from his powers.
No Ordinary Family – Season 1 Episode 5 "NO ORDINARY QUAKE". Jim goes into search mode to discover the cause of some recent earthquakes; Stephanie begins to suspect that JJ may be lying about his lack of super powers; and Daphne struggles with morality issues when she reads the minds of a fellow student and teacher and suspects they may be having an affair, on "No Ordinary Family".
No Ordinary Family – Season 1 Episode 6 "NO ORDINARY VISITOR". When Stephanie’s hard-to-please parents, Barbara and Allan Crane, pay an unexpected visit, the Powells must curb the use of their powers for fear of giving away their secret. But Barbara and Allan begin to suspect that something’s awry when they witness some strange behavior. Meanwhile, when friend Trent Stafford and his parents are the victims of a home invasion, Daphne uses her abilities to help Jim try to track down the thugs responsible for the violent act.
No Ordinary Family – Season 1 Episode 7 "NO ORDINARY MOBSTER".Jim’s secret identity is at risk when he tries to take down a dangerous mobster who has eluded George for years; Stephanie continues to look into Dr. Volson’s previous research of a mysterious plant – against Dr. King’s wishes; Daphne convinces a reluctant JJ to use his powers to help her become more knowledgeable in order to impress a boy; and JJ goes to extreme measures to help Katie get a date.
No Ordinary Family – Season 1 Episode 8 "NO ORDINARY ACCIDENT".Stephanie tries to uncover the reason behind Jim’s sudden loss of powers, which could put an end to his crime fighting days; JJ may be facing criminal charges after he’s caught hacking into the school computer system by his teacher; Daphne uses her abilities to impress a boy; and Katie begins falling for her mysterious new beau.
No Ordinary Family – Season 1 Episode 9 "NO ORDINARY ANNIVERSARY".Jim and Stephanie go out for their 18th wedding anniversary, leaving the kids at home. They soon find themselves teaming up to take on a super-powered arsonist, and Stephanie learns about the rush Jim gets from crimefighting. Meanwhile, JJ and Daphne team up to take their fellow students for money in a poker game at their house, Katie and the Watcher grow closer, and Dr. King has to take steps to protect one of his subjects.
No Ordinary Family – Season 1 Episode 10 "NO ORDINARY SIDEKICK". Jim, Stephanie, Daphne, JJ, Katie, George enjoy a night of bowling with everyone using their powers to win! Will joins them and he finally meets the gang. When Daphne tries to read his mind he senses what she’s doing! Uh oh!A robbery’s going on at the dry cleaners and Jim goes and defeats the assailants. Jim takes off leaving George to be the hero with the cops. Jim’s a bit jealous!Daphne tells JJ he needs a sidekick. She doesn’t understand why she can’t crack into Will’s brain.
At the Global Tech parking lot Dr. Chiles shows Dr. King the liquid he found in the grass, the one that was meant for Will to boost his powers. But Dr. King subdues Chiles with threats.
At the precinct the notoriety is going to George’s head who claims he’s actually protecting Jim and his identity. Detective Cordero wants to know the identity of the man who saved him from the police van. He learns it was Jim and gives him a hug for saving his life and gives him the rest of the day off, nice!
JJ heads to a smart people club meeting and finds some kids his age who are smart without powers. But his powers don’t work when he meets a pretty new friend.
At Global Tech Katie tells Stephanie that she’s falling pretty hard for Will. Dr. King tells warns Stephanie about Dr. Chiles who “attacked” him, sure he did!
Jim tells George that they may actually be a fourth gunman instead of three. But George doesn’t really have time to talk he’s busy with TV interviews.
Daphne talks to Katie about Will. Katie says she met Will online. Then drills JJ about his dating profile he created to meet Katie.
Stephanie is confronted with Dr. Chiles who gives her the liquid and tells her “everything is not what it seems.”
Daphne tells Stephanie that she doesn’t think Will is who he says he is. Katie learns that JJ faked Will’s internet profile and she doesn’t believe it. Stephanie is at odds with Katie and Jim is at odds with George. They will all take a break from each other.
JJ goes back to meet his pretty new friend but his powers don’t work to help her with the statistics homework. He seeks advice from his dad.
Jim and Stephanie talk about their sidekick problems who have taken an unscheduled leave of absence! Jim decides to enrol Cordero as his new BFF.
At Global Tech Stephanie is testing the liquid Dr. Chiles gave her. Her test subject is a rat and notices it has super powers.
At lunch, Katie talks with Will about Stephanie doubting his identity. Will admits to her that he didn’t know who she was when they met at the restaurant. He says his name is Joshua, sure it is buddy! He has to ditch her as his “boss” calls.
Jim uses his info from Cordero about the money train and heads to the station. He jumps guys who are carrying bags that he thinks has money in them, nope turkey sandwiches instead.
Joshua pays Dr. Chiles a visit. He frames Dr. Chiles’ death with medication. When Stephanie arrives she finds him unconscious with a suicide note. Dr. King arrives and thinks it’s his fault that Chiles died. He gives Stephanie Chiles’ last research and wants her to complete it.
JJ meets the pretty girl again and his powers are somewhat working to beat her at chess.
George returns as Jim’s sidekick to help stop the money train. When the train stops the gunmen try to kill Jim but he defeats them instead. Will pays a visit to Daphne. As he leaves he grabs her hand and she sees he killed Chiles. She tries to call her mom but Will returns. He uses his powers and frightens her. Back at home when Jim and Stephanie return home they find out that Daphne’s memory has been wiped. She doesn’t know about her powers and how the family’s changed. Looks like Will made sure she wouldn’t remember what she saw, creepy!!
No Ordinary Family – Season 1 Episode 11 "NO ORDINARY FRIENDS".After Jim saves Dave Cotten’s life, he and Stephanie become fast friends with Dave, his wife Michelle, and their kids. But Jim begins to suspect that the Cottens may be leading their own secret lives. Meanwhile, Daphne throws her hat into the high school ring for student council president, and Katie reveals a secret to Stephanie about her relationship with Joshua – aka The Watcher.
No Ordinary Family – Season 1 Episode 12 "NO ORDINARY BROTHERS". Jim's shady younger brother Mike pays the Powells a visit, and quickly discovers they have superpowers. He convinces JJ to help him win at the horse track, but Jim soon discovers Mike has big financial problems. Meanwhile, Global Tech HR VP Victoria Morrow promotes Katie, prompting Stephanie's jealousy, but Dr. King has an ulterior motive for the move. And at school, Daphne realizes that a student is lying to protect his younger brother from a suspension.
No Ordinary Family – Season 1 Episode 13 "NO ORDINARY DETENTION".While Internal Affairs officer Rachel Jacobs investigates reports of a rogue cop, Jim risks revealing himself as the prime suspect when the police station is overrun by a group of thugs, and he is the only hope of survival. Meanwhile, while trying to nurse an ailing Joshua back to health at the lab, Katie and Stephanie run into Human Resources VP Victoria Morrow and begin to suspect that she isn’t who she says she is.
No Ordinary Family – Season 1 Episode 14 "NO ORDINARY DOUBLE STANDARD". After a friend is attacked, Stephanie tells Jim that she wants to join forces with him to help catch the perp. But when Jim informs Stephanie that he’s built for crime fighting – and she’s not – the competition is on to see which one of them can solve the case first. Meanwhile, Daphne feels like Jim is invoking a double standard when he allows JJ to date a senior but won’t let her do the same, and Katie learns some disturbing news about Joshua – aka The Watcher.
